Aquatics in Halifax

The Canada Games Centre offers a full compliment of aquatics facilities and programs to residents in Halifax. The aquatics division at Canada Games Centre includes a 25-metre pool, an eight-lane competition pool, toddler pool, sprinkler and spray features, diving boards, waterslides, sauna and hot tub.

A family-friendly facility, the Canada Games Centre aquatic division offers swimming lessons that begin with Parents and Tots and go right up to the Swim Patrol programs, while at the same time accommodating private lessons. The facility also offers leadership programs where people can learn CPR and take advantage of programs from Bronze star right up to Combined Swim and Lifesaving Instructor.

Participants can also utilize the facility in order to take courses on diving, learning to play water polo, join swim and triathlon teams, aquafit and more. The aquatics division also takes part in Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart Program in order to provide swim lessons only offered by the Canada Games Centre.
